America's involvement in the war between Iran and Israel was a big topic of discussion in Brussels this morning after the US launched military strikes in Iran over the weekend, attacking three nuclear sites in the country.
This comes just over a week after Israel launched strikes on Iran. Eleven days ago, Israel targeted Iran's nuclear and military sites because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believes that Iran becoming a nuclear weapon country is a threat to "Israel's very survival". Since then, both countries have been firing missiles at one another.

Nuclear weapons are very powerful explosives and due to their destructive nature, lots of agreements have been made between countries on who should have them and limiting the amount of them that are made.
Although Iran has been suspected of trying to build a nuclear bomb, they have denied this. It's unclear if the United States attack on Iran has destroyed their nuclear materials, however Iran has declared that they will be the ones to win and end the war. Simon Harris, along with other world leaders have called for an urgent stop to the fighting and for all parties to come to a diplomatic agreement.
