The craic and mighty culture of Cork will be celebrated on the latest installment of RTÉ Radio 1's The County Measure.
The County Measure is a landmark RTÉ Radio 1 series that explores the identity and communities of Ireland's 32 counties.
Join writer and broadcaster Vincent Woods as he criss-crosses the county on Sunday July 28th at 10 am on RTÉ Radio 1, uncovering the vibrant arts, history, heritage, sport, and diverse communities of the 'rebel county'.

From boating down the River Lee, the beat of history in Baile Mhúirne, to infectious laughter in gleaming Baltimore, Vincent takes a measure of all that "the county of the rebels" has to offer.
"Cork – Corcaigh – is the biggest county in Ireland; and within its borders is a myriad of communities, stories, linked and sometimes conflicting histo-ries. Almost immeasurable in its scale – cultural, linguistic, geographic – and endlessly diverse, one can't but think of the old line about 'the real capital’ of Ireland in both city and county," says Vincent.
The pianist, composer and conductor Cormac McCarthy will unveil new music inspired by his native county, while author Sara Baume will also feature with an exclusive piece of writing.
The County Measure: Cork will be broadcast on Sunday July 28th at 10 am on RTÉ Radio 1.The series previously visited several counties including Antrim, Kilkenny, Limerick, and Sligo - listen back here.
