I'm standing below the harbour wall on Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands. I’m in my priest’s collar and holding a microphone attached to a small sound system. I can see a few other clergymen and nuns sitting here too or kicking a football back and forth on a makeshift soccer pitch.
A bare-chested man with a towel around his waist and carrying a car bonnet under his arm chats to three girls who are dressed as peanuts.
I’m here to commentate on the five aside football final at Ted Fest, the festival for Father Ted fanatics that takes place annually on this island...
