Nothing beats a food market in the summer time, and there's a hotly anticipated one opening in Tallaght this week.
Dublin has long cried out for a fully indoor food market, with various plans coming and going over the years, but the Priory Market in Tallaght Village looks set to fill that gaping hole in the city.
Priory Market will open its doors on Wednesday 20 June, with a focus not just on food, but on beverages, coffee and culture.
The space will house a range of 12 locally run, independent and artisanal food vendors with expertly made food from local chefs, as the market team puts it: "No chains, no junk food, just a true haven for food lovers."
As well as firm favourites like pizza from Coke Lane and freshly grilled dishes at the Fiery Pit, headed up by Priory's Head of Food, chef Ros Mooney, you'll find a globally diverse mix of vendors.
Mexican favourites El Milagro have found their permanent home in the market, while Delhi2Dublin - the award-winning family-run Indian spot, will be cooking up Indian street food made to their own family recipes. Zaira will be dishing up Lebanese cuisine, and Bless Up will offer mouth-watering Afro-Caribbean classics like Nigerian jollof rice, shawarma, Caribbean rice and peas, and much more.

For something sweet, you can visit Cafollas, a family-run ice cream brand with a legacy spanning over 100 years and serving up everything from soft serve and sundaes to acai bowls.
The team is also bringing something new to the table when it comes to beverages, introducing Ireland's first full tank bar, which will be serving up beers* straight from the onsite brewery, Priory Brewing. You can also browse a selection of guest brews, wines from the separate wine bar and handcrafted cocktails.
And if that wasn't enough, there will also be an in-house coffee roastery and a cultural hub where food, drink and music can come together.

The project was spearheaded by John Kearns, CEO of Partas - an organisation committed to fostering local enterprise and economic development in South Dublin - and aims to revitalise Tallaght Village, making it a destination for food lovers across the city.
Speaking about the project, Kearns said: "Priory Market has the potential to be a transformative force for Tallaght. It's more than a food destination; it’s a space that will create jobs, support local talent, and inject new life into the village. We’re building something that the community can be proud of, something that will help re-energise the area’s social and economic landscape and put Tallaght firmly on the map as a place of culture, creativity, and opportunity."
