From maker's markets in Drumcondra, to a skate and brunch morning on Augier Street, there is plenty happening in Dublin this weekend.
Sashay for Strays is a fundraiser for four dog rescues taking place in LGBTQ+ bar Street 66. Expect drag, karaoke, rafflles, music, and bingo (with a doggy twist) presented by Victoria Secret. Taking place on Friday, 20 June, from 6:30pm - 11:30pm.
On Saturday, 21 June, The Bernard Shaw in Drumcondra will play host to a maker's market. Free to enter, shoppers can expect a vibrant event featuring local makers, crafters, lively music, and more. Running from 10am - 2pm, there will be a wide array of handmade treasures from local producers.
At 11am on Saturday, 21 June, Skate Revolution - Dublin's BIPOC and LGBTQ+ led roller skating community - is hosting a morning of skating in the YMCA on Aungier Street followed by brunch in a nearby café from 1pm - 2pm. Both inline skaters and roller skaters of all levels are welcome. No rentals available so bring your own skates. Suitable for those aged 18+, tickets cost €13.85.
On Saturday, 21 June, Ongar Community Centre are hosting a sensory-friendly cinema screening, designed with neurodivergent children and their families in mind. The relaxed environment will have low lighting & low sound, while a sensory zone will be available for those wanting a calm corner or regulation supports. Children under 16 go for €7.50 (one adult goes free, a second adult attends for €3).
Come Out to Play is hosting a games night for grown-ups in Mad Yolk in Smithfield. Taking place from 6:30pm - 9:30pm on Saturday, 21 June, the event will include a batch of new games, fresh challenges, as well as a welcoming atmosphere for groups and those attending solo. Tickets cost €17.07.
Dun Dun... Dun Dun...Jaws is coming to Dublin. Enjoy the Academy Award-winning soundtrack from Jaws in an unforgettable film-with-live-orchestra experience. Celebrate the film's 50th anniversary with the National Symphony Orchestra on Friday, 20 June, at 7:30pm. Tickets cost €24.50.
