Ireland's second T20 international against West Indies was abandoned without a ball being bowled as rain intervened once again.

Two days after the opening game of the three-match series at Bready Cricket Club fell victim to the weather, the second instalment at the same venue was also washed out.

After the scheduled start was delayed, the umpires inspected the pitch at 4pm and with rain still falling, decided there was no prospect of completing the contest.

A statement on Cricket Ireland's X account said: "The match unfortunately has been abandoned due to consistent wet conditions."

The final game of the series is due to take place at Bready on Sunday.
