Ireland were beaten by 62 runs as the West Indies won their Bready decider to claim T20 series victory in Bready, Co Tyrone.

The first two games of the three-match series were abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Ireland had a mountain to climb after the West Indies smashed 256 for five, their second-highest T20 score.

Evin Lewis and skipper Shai Hope put on 122 for the first wicket in 10.3 overs as Ireland's bowlers suffered some heavy punishment.

Lewis was the mainstay of the innings with eight sixes and seven fours in a brutal 44-ball 91.

Hope made 51 from 27 balls and Keacy Carty continued his fine recent form with an unbeaten 49 from 22.

Matthew Humphreys was the sole bright spot for Ireland with two for 16 as the West Indies struck a total of 20 sixes.

After losing captain Paul Stirling in the second over, Ross Adair and Harry Tector produced a partnership of 101 in 58 balls to give Ireland hope.

Tector made 35 from 28 deliveries before being pinned lbw by Roston Chase and Adair soon departed for 48.

Ireland never recovered from losing three wickets for two runs and ended on 194 for seven, with Mark Adair unbeaten on 31.

Akeal Hosein was the West Indies' best bowler with three for 27 and Jason Holder also picked up two wickets.
