A Wales international since 2017, Williams is selected on his first British and Irish Lions tour in 2025.
With Jamison Gibson-Park and Alex Mitchell having been expected to make the tour, Williams held off stiff competition to be the third nine in Andy Farrell's squad.
An energetic player behind the scrum, Williams has scored 14 tries for Wales in his 65 caps. Having spent all of his career at Cardiff until 2024, the 30-year-old has made a real impact at Gloucester this season, playing all but one Premiership game for the Cherry and Whites, scoring eight tries.
