A man aged in his 60s has died after being hit by a tractor in Co Clare this morning.
The man was struck by the vehicle on the L7006 at Kilmurry in Sixmilebridge just after 10.15am.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been brought to University Hospital Limerick. The Coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place.
The road has been closed for a technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators.
Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 10am and 10.15am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
